Stepping Stones

We met up with TT’s sister, her husband and son at Wallington.  The last time we met up with them here, was quite a wet day, so we were hoping for better weather, a dry day at least. It was dry most of the day, so a huge improvement on last year.

TT wanted to do a Cadbury (Easter) hunt, so I paid my money and off we went to find and follow the clues.  Once completed he took it back and was rewarded with three small chocolate bunnies, which cost much less than the charge!  He was most put out though, as they didn’t even check whether he had got his answers correct!

We headed off on our walk, by the adventure playground, via the bird hide and round by the river to the lovely walled garden.  Being Good Friday, it was busy, but we managed to avoid the crowds.  The rain started just as we got back to the café and we were lucky to get a seat, as it was packed.

After lunch the boys played cricket for ages.  We left late afternoon and ended up in Morpeth for a little while, but it was quite chilly so we didn’t hang about.

Here is BB crossing the stepping stones carrying his big cousin's cricket bat!
