Cricket

Another 'first' for me today - a real, live cricket match!

Clackmannan County Cricket Club played a Carlton CC select at the Arns in Alloa for the W.P. Crowe Memorial Cup

Walter Crowe was a good friend of mine who passed away on Hogmanay and it was good to catch up with his family again, as well as his friends at the cricket club where he was scorer and treasurer for many years.

For the record, Carlton batted first and scored 149  for 5 after 40 overs. In reply, Clackmannanshire scored 150 for 4 with 20 overs to spare to win the match. Oh, and the sandwiches and home baking were rather good too!
