Monsaraz, and the incoming warm front!

Today was a really sunny and clear day but with a very pleasant coolness and freshness in the air. The views were long and the horizon was much clearer than in the last few days.
Today's adventures included wine tasting at Ervideira, climbing around on a boat that may be purchased, walking around Monsaraz castle, and finally eating at an interesting restaurant called Sem Fim.
At that last mentioned we sat on the terrace and ate with a lovely view of the castle. As the sun went down we took more and more pictures as the light continually changed.
Towards the end of the sunset the warm front (that is going to bring a lot of rain tomorrow) arrived high in the sky. At high altitude curtains of precipitation were coming down and being blown horizontally before dissipating high above the ground. This created some lovely light patterns in the sky that lasted just a few minutes.
For more takes on this sunset see HarlingDarling's blip and amandoAlentojo's blip.
A beautiful end to a beautiful day that was our last day in Alentejo. Time has flown far too fast! Many thanks to amandoAlentejo and M for a lovely few days.
Tomorrow we travel to the Algarve and on Saturday back to Sweden.  A week is not long enough!
