Rookie of the Year

My son Adam had his football presentation last night (rugby league) and came home with the trophy for Rookie of the Year.

This footy season was his ninth, but the first year he has played with a Queensland team, hence the award.

This morning his team had their last match for the season, a friendly match against a Gold Coast New Zealand team, which they lost. The loss was expected, as some of the New Zealand lads are huge!

Tonight Adam has a sore back and huge lumps on the tops of both of his feet. The lumps on his feet are as a result of being stood on by heavy New Zealanders!

It was all a lot of fun though. Next, the cricket season begins.
