Waves

We headed up to Berwick-upon-Tweed this morning, a place we really like. We walked along the ramparts, down by the river, under the railway bridge, back along the ramparts and then down to the harbour and the pier. Finally we walked back along the cliff top. A lovely, varied walk – it was warm and sunny, but windy.

So, I had lots of photos of bridges, walls, seascapes. But in the end, and true to form, the best picture did not make the blip. The picture that made the blip was the one that captured the moment. And the moment for today was when I watched the sea at the end of our garden – wave, after wave, crashing up almost to the gate - mesmerising.

The house we have is on the coastal path. If you have ever walked the path here you will have walked past our gate. And this picture was taken from the gate. We are not staying in a little cottage, not quite our style, but a house with lots of room and a sunroom that extends across the whole width of the house. So, from early morning to late at night we can sit and watch and listen to the waves. To me this is magic and is what has brought us back and will bring us back again.

Thank you to everyone who visited and offered congratulations on my blipday. Much appreciated.
