Milky Way Over Lake Tekapo

After a very hazy evening with streaks of high cloud, Saturday night cleared just before midnight up on Mt John, giving me the opportunity to leave my room in the observatory and sit out in the cold under the majestic southern night sky.

In the extras you'll see a time lapse image of the stars circling the southern celestial pole, shot with my Samyang 8mm f/2.8 fisheye lens on the X-T2. The main image is with my Samyang 12mm f/2 lens on my X-T10.
