Coming in to land!

The first flight 5+ hours from SF to Newark went well except for some turbulence , especially on landing!  We flew down through white cotton wool and what a beautiful sight as it separated and the ground came into view!  Guess who didn't have a camera out!!

A very quick turn around mainly used to queue up for the rest rooms - yes even the men!!  and we were off again for another 6 hour flight.  This time we had the night flight, but neither of us slept for more than an hour or so!

This blip has taken a record time to do as I'm quite literally falling asleep!
this is Liverpool and for those who know this wonderful city on the Mersey you can see the main waterfront buildings especially the Liver building with the two twin towers with the Liver birds on top!  See them here!  here we are looking at the backs of these buildings.

You can also see Lime Street Station and the Paddy's Wigwam!  and it really looks like one!! (Below the Liver Building)  between the two and a little to the right, is the tall Telephone tower with its revolving restaurant at the top.  Along the Mersey, far right, is the Alexandra tower which is just behind the Princes dock and hides the little hut that I mentioned in the link above!

The extra shows Anfield (Red and white) and Goodison - the rival football team's stadiums in Liverpool, at either end of Stanley park.  I was so pleased to have that shot!! and out at sea you can see part of the wind turbine farm!

Lunch in a restaurant with Little Missy who can write her name and Grandbaby who has started eating solids - well mush really!! a mango puree and most of a stick of cucumber!!

2 machine loads done and dried in the garden!  shopped for food, cleaned the fridge before filling it and now to cook something!  Need to stay awake - been awake for 29 hours bar the little sleep on the plane!!
