What has a Hazelnut in Every Bite?

It's been a lovely, sunny day today, and we've taken our visitors on a tour of the best of Brighton. They even  had the pleasure of a ride on a double decker bus into town!

It was the start of the Brighton Festival and the annual children's parade was coming along the sea front as we walked down to the pier. More than 80 schools took part and the theme was Poetry in Motion - children were dressed up and each school had their own interpretation, some playing musical instruments and each had made a paper mache sculpture which they carried along (see my extra).

We took Rose and Randy for a stroll on the pier, along the seafront past the fisherman's quarter and then walked up into town.  Rose wanted to go to Jamie Oliver's so we went for lunch and the food and service was really good. Then we strolled through The Lanes and the Pavilion Gardens to the Royal Pavilion.  There was a guy feeding this little squirrel nuts and he gave me one to give it - it reached out and was so gentle when it took it from my hand.

Anyway, we're  all in the Palace now, so I'd better go and open a bottle!  Hope you're having a good weekend :-)
