Grey, windy afternoon on the beach

What a contrast to yesterday's still waters! Today was quite a bit cooler, windy, with grey skies. We started the day by going out to breakfast, but then Roger had some work to do, and after being out in the hot sun most of yesterday, I was quite happy to have a quiet morning in, reading and knitting. After lunch, I went for quite a long walk on the beach, watching the waves and the birds. As I was heading back to the apartment, the clouds seemed to be breaking up a bit, so after a cup of tea we both went to the pool for a swim and sat and read our books.
