Too slow, worm.

This slow worm was sunning itself by a pot beside the garden shed. He lives with a family of slow worms and allegedly a couple of hedgehogs underneath the shed and the smashing sunshine has brought him out. He's fine, albeit he flipped and slithered off before I got the shot I really wanted - both of these have too shallow depth of field. His kin however was the slow slow worm, and the local ginger tom cat left only the head, which we disposed of. Slow worms are protected, but I don't think cats know, or care.
