Bluebells

At 9am we got picked by a couple of old friends who moved back to the area last year. They love walking and I knew which walk I wanted to do! We were supposed to go to Rydal on 5th December but our day out was postponed when my sister-in-law died.

I was quite surprised how well I walked up Loughrigg to one of the caves. I wasn't disappointed. It was awesome!  Oh! The figure on the right might be me!  I can't use my shots from the cave as my laptop is running badly and won't do the HDRs. I carried that heavy tripod all the way up there so it's got to be good, or nothing! Well, not for my main image but one I'm not happy with, in the Extras to remind me of the day.

Anyhow, a real bonus was the carpet of bluebells. I am going to Rannerdale on Wednesday to see those ones but I didn't know there were any at Loughrigg.

I managed the 5 mile walk well. We rounded the event off with lunch at Badger Bar in The Glen Rothay Hotel. Fish and chips. Great!

The Man and I wanted to go to the Badger Bar because we have been watching their webcam every night for a few months. They put scraps out and have 5 badgers, a fox, a ginger cat, jackdaws and a buzzard visiting for a free meal!

A lovely day!
