Life through the lens...

Tiny Tuesday

Another of my alpine plants.
This time Anemone Magellanica just coming into flower. Covered in tiny hairs. Not easy to see, but show up better with a macro shot.

We had a great wine tasting last night. The speaker was French, and the wines were Italian!
Wines from Masi which has been run by the Boscaini family for the past six generations, representing the classic Venetian styles of wine.
The first two whites were mainly Pinot Grigio grapes, but much better than any Pinot G. I have tasted before.
The next four reds were also very good, but the star of the evening was the Amaroni Classico , Costasera. ... Made by drying the grapes  ( 70% Corvina grapes)  on bamboo racks throughout winter before making them into wine.  Majestic sell this at £31 a bottle.
Have ordered a case!  Ha, Ha!!  Still it was good to be able to taste it, which is what a wine club is all about.

Weather this afternoon, warm and sunny. The cold wind has finally gone.
Spent the time in the garden potting up summer bedding plants, and watering. What a joy!
