Migrant in Moscow

Zagreb

I'm filling in blip gaps.  This day back in Zagreb before heading up-country for a few days. This is Josip Jelačić Square, so named after the Croatian hero in 1848, changed to Republic Square by the communists in 1946, and changed back to Jelačić square in 1990 - history like a revolving door.  Incidentically, I recall, during my travels to Zagreb in 1984, seeing dozens of people, mostly men, standing in the dark square chatting and smoking as it seemed to me to be nowhere else to go and socialise.
