The end of the week

It is currently tipping it down with rain - which is good, the ground is worryingly dry, plants need a good drink.

This shot of the side of the old great Northern Warehouse complex (now a cinema/retail/casino/leisure destination) was taken as I left the city centre. I've always liked this frontage and the contrast with the Beetham tower beyond it. 

It has been a busy week, progress made on a number of fronts, and signs of change in the air.  But Friday night is time to press the pause button on all that.
