New Falls

One thing that can be said for lots of rain is that there are new waterfalls appearing all over the place.

On a drive up the Matakitaki West Bank this afternoon we must have seen a dozen waterfalls that aren't usually there. This is one of them.

We parked the care at Johnson's Creek and walked up the road with the intention of a 5km walk - but when it started hailing on us we headed back - after only 1 km. It hailed pretty much the whole kilometre back to the car, and stopped just as we got there.

Here in NZ it is the 11th September already - a day we remember the horror of the Twin Towers attack and pay our respects to those whose lives were lost. Our thoughts are with you on this remembrance day.
