Regent Street

Gavin and I met the estate agent this morning to talk strategy on selling our house - the 10% stamp duty and the forthcoming election are not helping the property market at the moment. In fact he advised its an excellent time to invest in a property in London at the moment, as the London market is a bit dead and bargains are to be had! We have had two viewings this week so far so that is good.

I then went up to London to meet some mothers from Thomas' year group for lunch - we tend to only meet up once or twice a year, and this was our 'end of school year' lunch. London was sparkling in the sunshine with blue skies, but by the time I came out of the restaurant it was raining!

I love Regent Street - the way it curves so beautifully, it is a landmark street in London. It was designed by the architect John Nash, and is an early example of town planning in England,  completed in 1825. It was named after King George when he was the Prince Regent.
