New look

I finally picked up my painting and hung it this morning. Our Sister (MsPeahen) painted it for an exhibition but it's rather large and I usually travel out her way in a small car or by train.

After hanging and changing a few other paintings around we decided to start a wall of framed art work done by the family. Children are very creative. I will blip it in the future as it develops.

Extra shows an Autumn crocus Sativus. It is the crocus they harvest saffron from and I have wanted some for ages. I thought it was a spring flower so was amazed when it flowered about a month after I purchased and planted the bulbs. I have been away this week so hadn't checked it's progress.
