Thelma Lou

This is Thelma Lou, Barney's girlfriend. She is a female Anna hummingbird. 

I was out with Bunker, wandering around the yard, taking pictures, enjoying the sights and sounds of the early morning. I had just changed to the 400mm lens when Thelma Lou arrived. Going with the settings I had, I followed her partaking of the nectar of the Red Yucca plants that were recently put in the yard.

I am grateful Bunker didn't spot her. He is not welcoming of the birds that enter (or pass over) his yard.

I had so many nice photos this morning. It was hard to pick.

She wouldn't mind if you looked at her large! (it doesn't make her look fat!)
