The roses are coming

A gorgeous day and getting warmer in the next few days too. We cracked on with painting the Studio today. Out for a walk first to collect a birthday card and on to a local hardware store to buy knotting fluid. The roses are coming out, this bloom was part of a straggly plant at the entrance to a house. Smelt wonderful.

We enjoyed the first lunch of the year outside then it was on with the painting. We're using a colour called "Pond Green" for the majority of the building with the windows and door frame picked out in "Cornish Cream" It took a couple of hours between the two of us to put on the first coat of green.

Tomorrow we hope to put on the second coat and put up the guttering and we're ready for the internal fitting out and then get all the furnishings and desks etc sorted.

More work for me in the evening with a trip to the allotment while Susan went to her guitar class. I planted out courgettes, lettuce and dwarf French beans in the pleasant cool of the evening.
