Rubbish

This rubbish collection awaiting collection early this morning in the Meadows is just one of 5 similar ones in a 200yd stretch.
They bear witness to a day and evening of merriment and picnicking in the sun, and lest you are under any delusion that the young people themselves placed all their rubbish neatly in a pile beside the bins, let me immediately disabuse you of that notion.
No, the young people in general leave their rubbish behind in situ and the bin men , paid from our hugely increased Council Tax, arrive at the crack of dawn to collect and stack it. What they cannot do is regenerate the hundreds of barbecue shaped patches of burnt grass where the hordes have disregarded the notices to only put their disposable barbecues on the appointed stone slabs.
Cynical, moi? Yes, and it comes with age and accountability.

I was out early on my rounds because of a missed flight in Doha. Omani daughter was flying back to the UK via Doha and expected for breakfast in the Dower House about 7:30 this morning. However, she missed her connection although I didn't get the message until I got up, hence the early start and time on my hands.
However It was a perfect day to be out and about, and with the sunshade up again it can only get better.
