Summer Is Icumen In

Today may be summer 2017, hence the inauguration of the new sunshade.
The old one died after a lengthy service of 25 years, although the actual days it was used in an average Scottish summer was but a tiny fraction of the number it stood in the cupboard.

This new one is big and substantial and has already met with disapproval by His Lordship as being too tall for our patio,half of which nestles under an over hanging balcony.
I think it is wonderful because it shields more of the patio and tilts to accommodate the angle of the sun. It also shields me from the sight of passing pedestrians on the other side of the railings.
