Life through my eyes

By Amanda_T

Thumbs up!

An early start this morning (well for Mr T as he had to get up at 05:00 like I do every day for his hospital appointment).  We saw the eye consultant about the cataracts, and although the left eye could be done the consultant said it was not likely to make much difference.  The issue is the macular degeneration and this can't be fixed.  We proceeded with all the checks and they will send us a date but given the potential minimal benefit Mr T has decided not to go ahead now.  They said if it gets worse then he can go back in the future.

From there we went to The Mall for our free coffee and cake in John Lewis and to get some carpet tiles and watering stuff from B&Q.  A quick look in Lakeland and M&S while we were there.  A bit weird to see armed police walking around as well as three other police officers, but that is the world right now.  I'm not sure that they would do anything to stop someone like the person on Monday but at least there is a visible deterrent.

Then off to the leisure centre for a swim, Mr T was a bit weary so just had his shower, a cup of coffee and dropped off!

It has been a gorgeous day and we ate tea outside again.  Friday is fish finger sandwich day so a thumbs up from Mr T despite his disappointing news.
