Dorset Roadtrip!!

Lower Gardens, Bournemouth

Started the day with plans to head to Weymouth, but at the last minute plans were changed and we headed to Bournemouth! By the time we reached the Dorset coast it was blowing a hoolie and the temperature had dropped to 15 degrees so we sought shelter in the park where the children were having so much fun chasing enormous bubbles. Don't you just love the look of sheer joy on this little boy's face?

After a rather chilly lunch of salty chips for lunch on Bournemouth's seafront, we moved on to Poole for an impromptu visit to the dotty Godmother, and a 99 ice cream on the quay. Final stop of the day was Shaftesbury for a wander down Gold Hill, famous from the Hovis tv ad where that poor boy had to push his bike up the hill!

That's only a brief recap of a busy day as it's late, and I've just finished another gardening shift as M's apprentice so I'll catch up with you all tomorrow...
