Nut Crackers

Today we visited our friend's farm where the adjacent orchard has had many of its apricot trees removed.  There were hundreds of sulphur crested cockatoos rummaging and pecking in the broken earth, then flying up into adjoining fruit trees.  We realised that they were picking up the old apricot kernels and cracking them open for the lovely marzipan tasting seed. And yes, jensphotos, you are right. They were all eating left footed!
