Verdin Flight

This guy was flying on and off this orange (nibbling in between flights, of course) so quickly that I'm not sure if this is an incoming or outgoing flight.  Verdin are very small birds.  It took me a long time to be able to know the difference between them and finches at a quick glance.  Once I internalized how much smaller they are than house finches, it became easy.  The yellow head doesn't hurt, either.

Thanks again to those of you who have been generously sharing stars and faves.  BC will be trying to work out the problem with my notifications.  x
