Mono Monday: Defining the moment/Ephemera

I guess you can tell that this photo required a little patience.  Getting the light just right to enable the  long exposure and yet avoid noise was an interesting little challenge in its own right.

I didn't originally intend to take this shot at all but in the process of putting together a montage of time piece shots the possibilities that this alarm clock offered suddenly became evident and my route towards today's blip on meeting that particular fork in the road followed the opportunity presented.

Many thanks to SkiMe for a suitably challenging month of Mono Monday shots - its been great fun and has certainly stimulated the creative process.

... and so the Bank Holiday draws to a close.  A particularly wet close as it happens, but that has been good for the garden, and many of our chores were indoors today, so all is well.  Sadly,  its back to work again tomorrow, I could really get used to a few more days off -  if only!
