Over Here!

I took a quick early morning run into the mountains.  There I caught this bright guy, a Broad-billed hummingbird.  It sure looks like he was trying to let his buddies know that he found a comfortable perch.

Not a lot on the calendar today other than a follow-up appointment with the podiatrist for my toes.  They don't hurt anymore (hallelujah) and I can now wear sneakers. 
When I went out this morning to take care of the birds, I found a new burrow hole.  UGH!  The kangeroo rats have returned.  I will have to stop putting seed out.  #SAD
I'll leave the little feeder house up so the finches can sit on the shaded side when it's really hot.
