We're still having to go and look at our new bathroom every now and again :-)

My sister Susan joined us for lunch at the local eatery, and afterwards we went bargain hunting. My latest charity shop finds are a leather belt (unworn) which cost £1.99 and a lovely leather handbag (Fossil, and in pretty good condition) for £2.50. We returned home for tea and cake, and just as my sister was about to leave, Matthew - my nephew and Susan's son - turned up to fix a second grab bar to the wall in the shower for Mum. We've had a lovely day, but sadly it's been marred by the pain Mum has been suffering on and off in her legs and back. It comes and goes, and no two days are alike. We can't find any particular reason for the pain starting up. I'm not sure how much of the weakness and heaviness is caused by Mum's enlarged thyroid, if at all. Sometimes she literally cannot lift her foot up off the floor, and other times she walks fairly well despite the numbness in both legs.

Tomorrow, we have the next appointment in the saga of the second lesion on the side of Mum's face. We think this is to have it medically photographed and a biopsy done to see if it warrants removal.

The photo - as usual for this phase of my blip journal taken on my iPhone 5S - shows one of the smaller peonies which are currently blooming in the garden. Not as enormous as the flowers the other plant produces, but beautiful in their own right.
