Nature Walk

A beautiful walk today among Olive Trees where the dying grasses and plants between the trees are yet to be cut back. (We've been watching someone cutting the growth between trees with a big machine.) Ann was the first to spot the pyramid orchids and then we were seeing butterflies everywhere. I even saw my first swallowtail today. Well apart from the white zebra stripe ones near the castle in Assisi. Now I think this one is a Fritillary and possibly the pearl bordered but I'll check up when I get home. We enjoyed our morning visit so much we even went back around five. Oh and in the middle we had the most fantastic lunch at the local restaurant near the hotel. The best Italian food I think I've ever tasted.
