Fledged

Poor Mrs Blue Tit - she is looking a little careworn just at the moment.  Its all that effort involved in hatching her eggs, rearing her chicks and now, showing the fledglings where food can be found.  

On the other hand, her young charge seems to be in great shape, so she's obviously making a good job of it.   

The youngster is fully fledged now, and following Mum around the garden.  She demonstrates where and how food can be found, whilst the youngster sits still like  a pudding, waiting for its next meal to be brought to it!  I rather suspect that it won't be long now until he's expected to feed himself.... Independence Day beckons.
