Roadside cairns

The rain had stopped this morning and we set off with blue skies. We travelled through the Highlands to our next B&B near the Skye Bridge.
On the way we passed this mass of cairns on the roadside with a beautiful view of mountains and lochs beyond.
We arrived at a lovely B&B with a stream running through their extensive grounds. We saw a spotted flycatcher sitting on chicks in a hole in a fence post, it's photo is the extra shot. It was great to see it as they've disappeared from our area. The last time was saw one was about five years ago.

Tomorrow we catch the ferry to North Uist in the Outer Hebrides where we have a cottage for a week. There is no wifi or 4G coverage so will be backblipping when I get home. We'll be going to Harris on Saturday for a couple of nights so will hopefully be back on line then. Have a good week everyone.
