In the ceilidh band

Last night I had such fun as guest musician playing with a trio for a ceilidh at Stoke on Trent. The fiddler and melodeon players are from a band that I play in and the banjo player is the amazing Rob Murch from Dartmoor. He is a fantastic musician, there's a video of him playing here.

I might just have well not spent the time practising  the tunes on the list as we played entirely different ones. As well as tunes from the UK there were quite a few American bluegrass tunes - challenging but tremendous fun!!

F came with me as he loves banjo music so he took a photo of the four of us plus the caller for the dances.

I've another gig tonight so a busy weekend!
