The Old Forge (Wednesday 31st May 2017)

The window fitter had made good progress on the Tuesday. He'd started in the front bedroom, because the boiler next to the window was due to be fixed the following day, but also completed the study window beside my desk to match its end window. Unlike the day before I couldn't go out because a friend was coming round for coffee in the morning and I had to wait in for the boiler man, so I saw all the remaining windows go in. Thursday would be a finishing off and making good day, plaster and cement and so forth.
The gas man was held up on another job and it was actually 1815 hr before he arrived after a full day's wait at home, but he did manage to fix the boiler and supply a better remote controller than the one I had before.
All the window sills had been been cleared beforehand and I took this shot of the kitchen window while it was still clear of stuff.
