Watching the Paddle Boarder

14.1C with a sunny morning then could and showers through the afternoon. Light SSW/WSW breeze.

Since we had been at Carskey Beach on Friday evening we decided to head for Westport after this morning's grocery shopping. Quite a few people had had the same idea but there is plenty of room on Westport beach. We often find that most people stay within two or three hundred yards of the car park so walking towards Machrihanish often leaves us most of the beach to ourselves anyway.

It was pleasantly warm for walking, Gannets were diving out beyond the breakers, Sand Martins were flying over the beach and the sea, and there was lots of deep clean sand to walk on.

Afterwards we went to Glenbarr for lunch, stopping at the farm stall at Bellochantuy on the way for Kintyre eggs. Apothecary7 signed up for the first of this year's Art in the Hothouse workshops this Tuesday coming, and we bought some Raspberry Wee Island (Gigha) ice cream to take home.
