An ordinary life....

Woke up to the terrible news of the terrorist attack in London.   More innocent lives lost and the lives of others changed forever.

Once again an amazing response from the emergency services and police and the public in general.   One of the images that has stuck with me is the guy running from the scene with his pint of beer still in his hand.   Good on him.   It seemed to symbolise the British spirit.

David played golf with Kenny this afternoon and I went to Ele's for lunch as she was waiting on a mattress getting delivered.   Had  good catch up and enjoyed hearing all about their adventures walking the West Highland Way.

On the way home I listened to the start of the One Love Manchester concert.  Listening to the interview with the two young teenage girls who were injured at Manchester Arena two weeks ago and had left the hospital to attend this concert had me in tears.  Such bravery and resilience.

Once home watched the rest of the concert on TV.   Not all of it my cup of tea (old fogey :-) but well done everyone on coming, playing and showing your support.   The same goes for the audience.   You can't keep good people down.
