An ordinary life....

Pretty Pink Purple Petals...

Trying saying that after a few sherbets   :-))

Another glorious day.  This past week we've had more sunshine than in the whole of last summer.  I haven't looked at the forecast for next week (too scared to ;-) but I do know it's meant to be sunny all day tomorrow so a BBQ has been planned.   Given that David is much better at eating sausages than bbqing them, it should be interesting.

Poor Jo is ill so hasn't been able to do her shifts with Alan today.   This has meant he's spent the afternoon in the company of his boring old parents.  He's coping admirably and has been outside with David supervising him hovering the insides of our cars (mine's actually got a wash for the first time in.....erm, I can't actually remember!)

We are going out for dinner tonight with our best pals Agnes and Adrian (arranged as a belated 50th birthday celebration for Adrian since my creaky hips meant I missed his official celebration) and with Jo being ill, I thought we would have to cancel.  Fortunately Nicole is able to do Jo's evening shift so it's still on.  Yay!  :-))  Nothing fancy, just dinner at our favourite local deli.  It's cheap and cheerful but with great food, great atmosphere and always the warmest of welcomes from Frank, the manager.  Can't wait.

Agnes and Adrian are staying over so it might be a late one.   As Adrian's now 50 a late one might mean 11pm.

Hahahahaha....don't tell him I said that!

Hoping to persuade him to let me photograph him tomorrow - an official 50th birthday portrait.  Pigs might fly but watch this space :))

Happy Saturday Peeps :-))
