A giant among men

Every day I see this display, attached to the inside of the window of a building adjacent to one I work in.   Today I investigated, and found it is to mark the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.  Each figure is inscribed with a phrase quoting from, or describing part of, the UDHR.  I am not clear, though, of the significance of the single large figure relative to the many smaller figures.

We had another power cut this evening - the second in less than two weeks.  I had just finished serving our meal (fortunately) when the lights flickered for a good 10 seconds and eventually died altogether.  The initial estimate was that the repair would be completed by 9.30pm, but obviously the fault was more serious than they thought.  They had to send out a specialist repair team, and we didn't regain power until 12.30am.  I had long since gone to bed.

As a result, this is a backblip.
