No flies on me

This fellow was taking a rest between buzzes. 

No-one likes flies much, but they do a fantastic job of pollination. Bit like wasps really. There really is a them and us in the insect world, eh. Everyone loves bees. Perhaps if you look in Large you may just about see he has green knees! Or elbows... or, well I'm not au fait with insect appendages.

We seem between storms. Yesterday's gales knocked much of the garden over and today we've been staking and clearing up. Tonight is forecast more wet (but hey, the ground is still pretty dry even now). Tomorrow of course is the tsunami...

Please don't forget to vote. Please remind your kids and grandkids, who may not have developed that voting habit yet. Perhaps of all the elections I've had any say in (and that's a few) this one matters. Do the thing, even if you have to hold your nose to do it. Make it count.
