Abstract Thursday- New

A picture of magnets on my new fridge, then did some faffing on my iPad. After a dull start, the day improved into a very warm sunny afternoon and a lovely evening, which was fortunate, as we were going to see a musical this evening, outside at an amphitheatre in a park in the neighbouring area of Blue Ash. It was performed by a local amateur dramatic group, and we had learned of it through one of Laura's school friends, who was playing the lead female role of Marian the librarian in The Music Man. Laura and C. had first met through Brownies in elementary school, but became closer friends during their high school years. With Laura living out of the country, they don't see much of each other nowadays, but they always meet up whenever Laura is back, and last year when Laura was back, they even went away camping for several days with another friend, so their friendship is still lasting. C. is now working as an engineer at the same company as Roger, and several weeks ago he contacted her on a work-related issue, and she told Roger about it when she replied. She did a brilliant job in her role this evening, and when we went up to her at the end of the performance, she seemed thrilled that we had gone to see her. She's a lovely and obviously talented young lady. Laura had a great bunch of friends in high school, and it's wonderful seeing them all develop into such wonderful, yet varied young people.
