Palmer's Farm - Wilmcote

Where it was thought Mary Arden (Shakespeare's mum) lived. It was discovered in 2000 that she actually lived in the *not quite so pretty* farm next door. The Shakespeare Trust own both properties.

It was a lovely day so we walked along the canal from Stratford to Wilmcote. Had lunch at the Mary Arden pub and then called for a drink at the Mason's Arms before getting the train back to Stratford. I've never been on a train around there before so I was quite excited. What a nerd. Nice station at Wilmcote too.

Had a rest back at the hotel as we were a bit sun-frazzled and then headed back into town for dinner at The Pen and Parchment and few more drinkies. Another ace day.
