Cricket on the Green

Eventually made it to the pool for a swim; found all the routes blocked by roadworks or vehicles collecting rubble. The cool water was pleasant for a change.

Spent the afternoon painting the Forth Bridge, aka Susan's Studio as the bit I wanted to do was in the shade with a little breeze wafting around as a bonus. Too hot to go walking in the daytime so we had dinner and went later in the evening although the temperature was still in the 20s C. Cricket was being played on the Green which, with the cowls of the Oast Houses behind the Green, made today's blip.

Looked into the possibility of buying a share in a narrow boat, along with 10 other owners. The annual cost for 3 weeks of use would be less than the cost of one week from a hire company. Worth thinking about; would we find the time for even 2 or 3 weeks cruising?
