Red flowers

I've noticed that slowly but surely, flowers are appearing on our side of the flame tree! I wonder why it is so erratic in throwing out its flowers. It definitely had a preference for the far side first.

I had mentioned the temperature a couple of days ago. Apparently I got it really wrong - even on the day. A newspaper article said that the UAE has now officially recorded 50degC this year; and it really feels it too. Today was "cooler" at 39degC, but 65% humidity eroded any drop in temperature.

G only had an hour to do, so I sat it out in The Mall again, and made a start on catching up with journals, and then got distracted looking at travel insurance!

Enjoyed putting together some music for a lunch on Thursday... always a lot of fun especially listening to what you've put together later. And G made a delicious aloo keema (mince with potato) curry. She's really got Indian cooking down to an art.
