Blue Ridge Parkway Vistas.....

Top L, Price Lake on the parkway, a beautiful spot where clouds float by, campsites look down on the lake, campers put in kayaks, canoes, and other    tyyes of boats, that float/paddle/ drift around the lake.  It really is pretty, quiet, and a place to fish or listen to the birds sing.

Top Rt:  At the top of the bald near Moses Cone's Manor, is a graveyard for the Cone family.  Looking away from the cemetery is a magnificent view....  a wonderful place to rest in peace.

Bot L:A Viaduct was constructed on Grandfathers Mt to connect to parts of the drive.  The mountain has the reputation of being of being the most arduous, steep, rocky, demanding mountain on the parkway.  The viaduct was constructed using the rock sides and engineered  so as not to destroy the difficulty of the mountain, itself.   The viaduct actually hangs out, over the mountain, supported by concrete pilings and beams running parallel.  We hiked a trail that went underneath the viaduct.  One could look up the side of the mountain or over rather straight sides downward while cars drive overhead.

Bot Rt:  Price Lake, looking through the Rhododendron down onto the lake. I really loved getting Mary's head in the picture over the short walkway while she waited down to get a picture.
