Cactus stamen

I've had this cactus almost 30 years.  It's pretty sickly looking for most of the year but it looks quite stunning when it blooms.  A splash of colour to celebrate the solstice - the turning of the sun as it begins it's journey back our way :)  Last night was the shortest night - yay for more daylight!
