Life in Sunny Dubai

Last day of Ramadan

I seem to be a day behind on blip, so today (in fact, it is technically Monday), I am blipping Saturday...

It seems to long ago, I can't even remember it! Oh, much prep for G's imminent departure (ironing etc). She stopped to make a rather delicious lunch. Pilau rice from a packet - who would have thought. Tasted quite authentic I was surprised to hear myself say.

Spent the afternoon looking at and editing (and blipping) pictures taken over the last couple of days, and creating web albums to share them. Ventured out in the evening - 8:15 to be precise to try to collect some dry cleaning, but traffic was so bad, the idea was abandoned.

Eid has been declared tomorrow (the Moon Sighting Committee in KSA spotted the crescent), so people were getting last minute things done. We got some baklava instead to take to the landlords rep who gave me a 9:15pm appointment. Such is life here during Ramadan/summer.

We got there well in time, only to have to wait till almost 10 as he got help up by someone. Anyway, the job of getting a cheque swapped went smoothly and we sat and chatted about falcons and breeding, training and racing them. Got home via a snack at Yahala. Dinner at 11. Ugh!

Oh, my blip is of some graffiti on 2nd December Street. Blipped before, but here it is again - in the night. We were in a traffic jam for quite a while, so G got this from her side of the car.
