Storms and Sunlight

We woke up this morning to the sound of rain falling on the roof. We opened the curtains to see blue sky and sunlight.  the rest of the day carried on like that. Warm and sunny one moment, throwing it down from a dark sky the next. I didn't bother with the roof at all!
Our visitors arrived and once they'd looked over the Red House so the boys could decide who was sleeping where we went out for a walk down to the local lake.
This was something of an act of faith in view of the weather. I secretly placed a large plastic bag in my pocket so cameras and phones could be kept dry if the heavens opened!
Both sides of us the sky was dark but a channel of blue sky held directly above us. The cloud you see here was grumbling with thunder all the time. We made it back home, still dry and with no need for my pessimistic plastic bag!
One thing I wondered about as we walked. The dandelion seed heads you see here seem so fragile but they had survived a few torrential rain storms and were still standing there seed heads intact.
Better weather promised for tomorrow - perhaps another roof day?
