Rebuilding

Who said retired people have lie-ins? I was up at a quarter to six this morning, so that we could both be ready in time for a very early appointment with Mum's GP. He reviewed all her medications, and we also discussed her thyroid saga and the cancerous lesion on her face. Because the hospital is slow to communicate with the GP Surgery, we ended up giving the doctor an update on the latest rather than him giving us any news!

After that, we went to church - the picture shows Mum walking the very short distance from the car into St Luke's with our friend Elizabeth at her side. This morning was a good day for Mum's legs and feet, but by this evening she was in a lot of pain again.

Having finished lunch, we went out for an afternoon latte at (yet another) garden centre. On the way back, various prescriptions were collected from Boots, and then I cooked some dinner and afterwards deadheaded out in the garden. Amazing how much time is frittered just pottering about! I enjoy it though, especially as a song thrush is currently serenading from high up with its slightly bonkers call :-)
