Walls

Assynt pleases in so many ways. The landscapes - mountains, lochs, and human-made features like well-built stone walls. The little towns and villages. The food. And the coastline, of course.

We decided on an easy day today. Five days in a row of putting on my boots had murdered my feet. So we pootled along to Ardvreck Castle on Loch Assynt, largely before the hordes of tourists, and took a few photos, before having a lazy afternoon watching the comings and goings in the harbour from our living room.

Tonight we had a farewell dinner at Peet's. Excellent. And a taxi afterwards! No walking back to the cottage which would have been possible, but not necessarily the best thing ever.
