Estonian Orienteering

Day one was a sprint race with assembly start and finish in an outdoor arena. The start was at the top of the steps and we finished behind the staging. Unfortunately it was rather damp and cool and not conducive to spectating.

I felt seriously out of practice on a course where decisions came fast and furious but delighted to be back Orienteering. Perhaps if the controls were as big as the control in the bottom right I might have done better!

The World Championships Sprint race was held later and at a different venue so unfortunately were unable to cheer on the Brits.

Hopefully tomorrow we will be able to see the Sprint Relay although there is an injury doubt about Kris Jones. A real pity as the Brits were in with a shout of a podium place.
