Townsville Patterns

I know and I here you saying "oh, not another pier, not another shadow" ..... But that's what you've got. I haven't taken many photos today, just a bit hot!

It is very hot here today, well hotter than we have had so far, up in the 30's somewhere. Doug and I decided to walk The Strand, something we do yearly when we visit. It is so beautiful and takes a good hour return. Golden sands, too hot to walk on today, we walked the path under the palms. We stopped on the way back to the car for a coffee, but we were so hot that a yummy milk shake was the order instead.

This picture is of a very modern and attractive pier, very nice in colour with the beautiful shades at the end, the sky and ocean were azure blues and the only cloud in the sky is over Magnetic Island (where we spent the weekend) seen beyond the pier. However, I chooses black and white today....you will just have to believe me about the stunning colours.

Tomorrow Doug and are going bush!! We are heading to the mountains and staying in Eco cabins at a place called Hidden Valley.....sounds nice eh. No TV, no mobile or Internet. Book reading instead and lots of bush walking, photography and the like. We are doing a round trip coming back a different way on Thursday evening. Looking forward to it.
